Özet

Sodium caseinate (NaCAS)/polyethylene (PE) blend films by using different plasticizers glycerol (GLY), sorbitol (SOR) and polyethylene glycol (PEG) were produced by the extruder and hot press. The tensile strength decreased and elongation at break increased with the incorporation of plasticizer. The thermal stability of the films was slightly higher for films containing SOR and PEG. Contact angles were more affected when using GLY and PEG. The smallest water vapour permeability was obtained for NaCAS/PE plasticized with PEG. Degradation of the films was determined by the weight loss of the samples in soil burial for 120 days. The fastest and maximum weight loss was obtained in SOR including films. As a result, it has been seen that the films can be used in the packaging industry with their special design.
