Özet

Nowadays, the punching damage tools have become widespread which greatly increased the production cost. AISI D2 punch used to make a hole through S500 MC sheet metal has premature damage. Various parameters such as high speed and non-optimized clearance are behind their failure. In this study, a numerical simulation takes place to understand the punching process and to find the punch damage causes. The aim of this study is to investigate the impact of some parameters on punching force and suggest some solutions. It was uncovered that too high punch-die clearance distinctly decreases the punch force.
