This paper presents a four-pole hybrid motor structure suitable for modifying the hybridization ratio First some theoretical information is given about the generated torque by the proposed motor Hybrid motor structure is introduced and reluctance and permanent magnet (pm) parts of the rotor are described in detail The ratio of the reluctance and the pm parts are modified on the rotor and various rotor types are obtained The angle between the parts is also changed by means of the suitable rotor shaft Static torque measurements are realized for different values of the current and torque profiles are obtained for different hybridization ratio of the rotor and position of the parts Average torque and torque ripple values are calculated from the torque profiles The results of the motor types are compared to each other It is possible to examine several motor types due to the proposed motor Different combinations give different characteristics and each construction gives reasonable results compared to the others Copyright (C) 2010 Praise Worthy Prize S r l. - All rights reserved
