Özet

Abstract Abstract The aim of this study is to examine the levels of technology addiction among pre-service primary school teachers in relation to various variables. Relational survey model, one of the quantitative research methods was used in the research. The sample group of the research consists of 173 pre-service primary school teachers who continue their education at a state university in the west of Turkey during the 2024-2025 academic year. The personal information form prepared by researchers and the “Technology Addiction Scale” developed by Aydın (2017) for university students and analyzed for validity and reliability were used to collect the research data. In line with the research purpose, the questionnaire form was delivered online to the relevant pre-service primary school teachers. The analysis of the data obtained was done by using the descriptive statistical analysis, independent sample t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), Tukey multiple comparison test, Pearson correlation test and simple/multiple regression analysis with statistical programs. As a result of the research, it was found that the technological dependence levels of pre-service primary school teachers were at lowmoderate level, technology dependence levels different significantly according to the time spent on social media and instant messaging applications; and there was no significant difference according to gender, grade level, family socioeconomic status, taking courses related to technology and technological tools owned.
