ABSTRACT

As a result of the climate change, there is an increase in the number and severity of extreme weather events. Turkiye is among the countries most affected by climate change. In order to understand how to deal with this problem at the national level, development plans, which are the strategic guide of the country, are of great importance. The goals and objectives outlined within the framwork of sustainable development must be determined in a way that takes into account the phenomenon of climate change. Development plans include measures, preparations and determinations, especially economic, social and environmental, in order to overcome the negative effects of climate change and reduce these effects in the fields of energy, agriculture, industry, housing, transportation, disaster management, land use, water resources management, food security etc. Action areas and strategies are created on these issues. In the study, development plans that take the problem of climate change into consideration are discussed and their content is described.
