Özet

This research has been done to determine which sports centers students who are studiying in the Department of Physical Education and Sports Teaching of Kocaeli University use while they are doing sports and their reasons for choosing these centers. In line with this purpose, the students of Physical Education and Sports Teaching of Kocaeli University have been included in the study because it was accessible by using the appropriate sampling method from the non-random sampling method, in 2014-2015. Necessary permissions were obtained from the school administration for the research. In line with the purpose of the study, a questionnaire consisting of questions determining the socio-demographic characteristics of the students, as well as their sports habits, which facilities they use while doing ports, and the reasons for using the sports facilities was prepared. After the necessary explanations were made to the students studying in the department of physical education teaching, a questionnaire form was applied to 95 students who participated voluntarily. The data obtained were analyzed in SPSS 21.0 Package program. Scanning model was applied as a statistical method and the percentage of the answers given by the students to each question was calculated. As a result, the rate of physical education and sports teacher candidates studying at the School of Physical Education and Sports was 37.8%, while the rate of those using the facilities in the school was 23.2%, the rate of those using the facilities of the municipalities was 29.5%, and the rate of those who stated that they use other facilities is 10%. The reasons for pre-service teachers to choose the facilities they use out of school are 18.8 are well-maintained and clean, 16.5 have sufficient and appropriate programs, 15.3 can work with a coach who is interested in them, 18.8 are close to their home, 4.7 of them find the fee appropriate, 5.9 ' It was observed that flour was limited in free time and the facility did not cause any problems, and 20 of them showed that their friends were also registered in that facility.
