Özet

Energy is essential for the sustainability of both universal and biological processes. The increasing population and diversification of consumer goods following the Industrial Revolution have increased the demand for energy (Fanchi, 2005; Yue et.al 2021). Currently, the majority of energy demand is met by non-renewable sources such as coal, oil and natural gas, which cause environmental damage (Koç & Kaya, 2015). Despite its importance, natural gas is known to be a limited resource subject to economic dependencies (Aydın, 2022). Hydrogen, however, stands out as an energy source that enhances environmental sustainability. An important milestone in the integration of hydrogen into the energy infrastructure was the THEME conference in 1974 (Veziroglu, 2000). While it has limitations, such as high storage costs, integrating hydrogen into the natural gas infrastructure reduces greenhouse gas emissions and increases the efficiency of renewable energies.
