Tahtakale semtinde uncu bir esnafın oğlu olan Fehîm İstanbul’da doğdu. Asıl adı Mustafa’dır. Gençliğe geçiş aşamasında, on sekiz yaşında dîvân tertîb edip şiirleriyle erken çağda üne kavuştu. Devlet büyüklerine sunduğu kasîdelerle küçük yaşta şair olarak tanındı, Mısır’a vali olarak atanan koruyucusu Eyūp Paşa ile birlikte Mısır’a gitti. Bu nedenle, Fehîm’in hayatında Mısır ve Kâhire’nin özel bir yeri vardır. ilk zamanlar Eyūp Paşa’nın himayesinde mutlu ve huzurlu bir yaşam sürdü, Mısır hakkında olumlu fikirleri şiirlerine yansıdı. Fakat, mutlu ve huzurlu yaşantısı kısa sürdü, mutlu yaşamını kıskanan rakiplerinin iftira ve dedikoduları ile gözden düşüp Paşa’nın desteğini kaybetti. Bu tarihten sonra koruyucusuz kaldı, Mısır’da güç şartlar altında sıkıntılı bir yaşam sürdü. Bu süreçte ilk izlenimleri değişmiş, şiirlerinde Mısır’la ilgili olumsuz ifadelere yer verdi. Mısır’da güç şartlar altında yaşamaya fazla dayanamadı. Nevālî Mehmed Beğ’e müracaat edip onun yardımı sonucu bir kervanla İstanbul’a gönderildi. Ancak, yolda hastalandı, İstanbul’a ulaşamadan Konya‘nın Ilgın İlçesi’nde vefat etti.

Abstract
Fehîm, the son of a third tradesman in Tahtakale district, was born in Istanbul. His real name is Mustafa. During the transition to youth, at the age of eighteen, he became famous with his poems. The state became known to the elders as a poet at an early age and went to Egypt with her protector Eyūp Pasha, who was appointed as the governor of Egypt. Therefore, Egypt and Cairo have a special place in Fahim's life. At first, he lived a happy and peaceful life under the protection of Ey himp Pasha and his positive ideas about Egypt were reflected in his poems. However, his happy and peaceful life was short-lived, he fell in dismay with the slander and gossip of his rivals jealous of his happy life and lost the support of Pasha. After this date, he remained without a guardian and lived a difficult life in Egypt under difficult conditions. Her first impressions changed during this period and she gave negative expressions about Egypt in her poems. He did not want to live much in Egypt under difficult conditions, and applied to Nevālî Mehmed Beğ and was sent to Istanbul with his help. He could not bear to live under difficult conditions in Egypt. Nevālî applied to Mehmed Beğ and was sent to Istanbul with a caravan as a result of his help. However, he became ill on the road and passed away in Ilgin District of Konya before he could reach Istanbul.
