Abstract

In this paper, an approach for modelling of static VAR compensators with the Fixed-Capacitor and Thyristor Controlled Reactor (FC-TCR) is proposed. The FC-TCR technique is an important part of static compensator systems (SVCs). Static VAR Compensators (SVCs) are devices that can control power factor quickly and safely. The main circuit, the working principle, the developed mathematical model of FCTCR and some simulation results are given.
