In the present days scientific discourse a new tendency is rising, i.e. job satisfaction is one of the main factors determining not only individual's but also organization's activity results. Individual's attitude to work and emotional reactions to job related situations arise from job satisfaction and this can influence his general satisfaction of life. This issue is inevitably becoming more significant not only for business organizations but for educational institutions as well. Considering all that, the article deals with both job and life satisfaction's theoretical background and introduces the results of research conducted in academic community in higher schools of Lithuania and Turkey.
