Abstract

The performances of new six eco-friendly oils and standard aromatic oil in rubber compounds such as NR, SBR, NR/SBR and BIIR/NR blends is compared. Cure characteristics of the compounds and physico-mechanical properties of the vulcanizates were measured and compared with reference compounds containing aromatic oil. This study may provide valuable data for small producers if any formulation adjustments are required in order to match the performance previously obtained by aromatic oils and their possible preferences.
