Abstract

Communication, which has become easier nowadays, has enabled multiculturalism to become an inevitable sociological reality by playing a primary role in both the inner and the integrated structure of society formed as a result of immigrations. This article examines Elif Shafak's novels in terms of multiculturalism. As a platform on which different cultural elements can meet, her novels bring differences together and present a panorama of multiculturalism. Moreover, the elements of mysticism frequently employed by the author make an important contribution to multiculturalism.
