Özet
The emergence of eco-friendly materials can be attributed to increasing public awareness regarding the environmental impact of synthetic materials. The development of such materials that can take the role of synthetic materials has attracted a lot of interest from researchers. As a result, there has been an increase in the demand for natural fiber-based materials for commercial use across a variety of industrial sectors in recent years. Understanding the fundamental properties of natural fibers is important for selecting the optimal intended usage, such as premium raw materials for bio-composite products. Natural fibers are readily available renewable, lightweight, biodegradable materials with excellent specific characteristics. Natural fiber-based materials are more environmentally friendly, which has increased their use in various manufacturing industries like automotive, aircraft, insulation materials, architecture, furniture, clothing, packaging, and paper. This chapter discusses some natural fibers' basic properties, origins, and potential uses to raise their sustainability.
