Özet

LED lighting systems have some advantages in energy efficiency and lifetime compared to other lighting systems. But, they require driver circuits. The reliability of the drivers affects directly the reliability of the system. For this reason, a variety of tests and analyzes is carried out to increase reliability. Electronic devices may experience serious damages resulting from the electrostatic discharge. Even, it causes the life to be completed earlier. In this case, the electrostatic discharge test is carried out to determine the effects on the electronic device and take precautions. Similarly, in systems that may be directly exposed to lightning, especially street lighting circuits, it is necessary to precisely determine the effects of lightning induced high voltage and take necessary precautions. Lightning surge test is applied for this purpose. In this study, these tests have been discussed on the LED driver circuit driven by Half-Bridge (HB) converter and the results were examined.
