Özet

One of the leading research topics of today is energy efficiency in buildings, passive buildings, and zero-energy buildings. The most significant energy consumption in buildings is for heating and cooling purposes. Therefore, insulation remains the most crucial issue to reduce heating and cooling energy consumption. In literature review study, insulation materials such as Vacuum Insulation Panels, aerogel, hemp, mushroom roots, expanded perlite, and sheep wool insulation materials are introduced and compared to the conventional insulation materials. As a result, it has been determined that the widespread use of new generation insulation materials is not possible without becoming economically attractive.
