Walking as an Artstc Acton

Özet
İnsanliğin ayirt edici tanimlamalarindan biri olan yürümek; ayni zamanda insanin
doğa ile olan ilişki sistemini de değiştrmiştr. Antropolojiden, dinler tarihine
felsefeden politkaya değin farkli disiplinlerde geniş yer bulan “yürüme eylemi”
sanat içerisinde de etkili bir üretm gücüne dönüşmüştür. Modern Dünya
içerisinde hareket ve hiz kavramlarinin ezici baskisina karşin zaman algisini kiran
karşit bir durumun ifadesidir. Özellikle felsefe ile olan bağini geliştren sanat,
yürüme eylemine olan ilgisini artrmiştr. Yürümek, Arazi Sanat içerisinde
büyük bir sanatsal eylem gücü kazanmiştr. Bununla birlikte, farkli kuşak ve
coğrafyadan pek çok sanatçi, üretmlerinin kurucu unsurunu “yürümek” üzerine
yapilandirmiştr. Yürüme eylemini; yürümek ve yürüyememek durumlari ile
ortaya koyan sanatçi üretmleri, örneklerle açiklanmaktadir. Çalişma, yürümenin
sanatsal bir eylem olarak ivme kazandiği Arazi Sanatna odaklanmakta ve yakin
dönem çalişmalari da içine alarak genişlemektedir.

Abstract
Walking, one of the distnctve defnitons of humanity; it has also changed the
system of human relatons with nature. The “walking acton” which has a wide
place in different disciplines from anthropology to the history of religions, from
philosophy to politcs, has also turned into an effectve producton force in art.
Despite the overwhelming pressure of the concepts of movement and speed
in the modern world, it is an expression of an opposite situaton that breaks
the percepton of tme. Art, which developed its connecton with philosophy in
partcular, increased its interest in the acton of walking. However, many artsts
from different generatons and geographies have built the founding element of
their producton on “walking. Walking acton; The artst explains the productons
with examples of walking and not being able to walk. About on Walking acton;

to walk. This study focuses on Land Art, where walking gains momentum as an
artstc actvity and expands into recent studies.
