THE EFFECTS OF DETERIORATING RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN NATURE AND HUMANS ON HUMAN WELL-BEING AND SUSTAINABLE TOURİSM
The ecosystem has been
playing a crucial role in supporting human life. It provides clean water, air,
food sources, disease treatment, climate regulation, aesthetic enjoyment, and
spiritual pleasure. Ecosystem degradation has deeply affected human health and
livelihoods. This work synthesizes the sources of disruption in
human-nature connectedness, its possible effects on human well-being, and
various branches of tourism. This work reveals how the interruption of
human-nature connectivity negatively impacts the ecosystem, human well-being,
and poverty reduction. Humans were integrated into nature once upon a time.
Separating humans from nature has led to significant advancements and new
lifestyles. Indigenous culture and early agricultural societies emerged from
integrating humans with nature. Industrialization, urbanization, and
technological advances occurred as humans separated from nature. Thus, climate
change, biodiversity loss, and environmental degradation followed.
