Abstract

Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome (KTS), a rare congenital disorder, is characterized by cutaneous vascular malformation, soft tissue-bony hypertrophy and varicose veins. The disease has been described in 1900 by Klippel and Trenaunay. KTS does not only show peripheral involvement, but also visceral involvement may be observed which is an important source of morbidity and mortality. In the preoperative period, accompanying abnormalities should be revealed, and the necessary measures should be taken. In this case report a patient with KTS was presented and the anesthetic approaches were discussed.
