Özet

The study examines the direct and indirect effects of school climate on mathematics achievement and the mediating role of mathematical resilience in this relationship. Mathematics achievement is a critical cognitive skill assessed in national and international exams, and it plays an important role in academic and occupational success. However, the ways in which contextual and individual factors contribute to this achievement have not been sufficiently clarified. This study aims to reveal the direct effects of school climate on mathematics achievement and the indirect effects through the mediating role of mathematical resilience in this process. The study was conducted using a correlational survey model and included 1,021 middle school students attending public schools in Kocaeli province. The findings show that school climate has a significant direct effect on mathematics achievement. In addition, mathematical resilience has a strong relationship with academic achievement and plays a mediating role in the relationship between school climate and mathematics achievement. These results emphasize the importance of creating a supportive and encouraging school environment in increasing mathematical resilience and academic achievement.
