Özet

In the last decade, the importance of Wireless Sensor and Actuator Networks has been increased continuously. As well as they have prominent deployment options, nowadays, they are also exploited in order for industrial systems to be controlled over wireless medium. In this study, a web-based user interface is developed for monitoring the environment using wireless sensor network infrastructure. The web-based interface is also extended so that a process control trainer system can be controlled remotely. The data coming from the sensors that are deployed in the environment randomly is delivered to the computer by means of the access point. The sensed data in XML format is then inserted into the PostgreSQL database using the socket program developed, after the parsing process. The data stored in the database is presented to end user clearly by the interface program written by using web technologies; XML, Perl, Php and jQuery. By the web-based interface, a process control trainer system is also controlled using XML-RPC and abovementioned software and hardware components. © 2013 IEEE.
