Abstract

In this paper, the analogy between a mechanical double pendulum system and an oscillating electrical system is presented. An exact electrical equivalent circuit model is proposed for analysis of mechanical system. After expressing mechanical variables and components in terms of electrical variables and components, the Modified Nodal Approach for circuit analysis is used. The accordance between mechanical simulations results and electrical simulation results verifies the proposed model and the analysis technique.
