Abstract

Finite-difference technique based on explicit method for one-dimensional fusion are used to solve the two-dimensional time dependent fusion equation with convective boundary conditions. In these cases locally one-dimensional (LOD) techniques is used to extend the one-dimensional problem. The comparison of present results with those of earlier authors shows an extremely good agreement. (C) 2004 Elsevier Science Ltd.
