Özet
This study aims to determine the perceptions of accounting professionals on gender equality while practicing their profession. Gender equality refers to individuals having equal rights and opportunities regardless of their gender. The accounting profession is one of the disciplines where ethical values and professionalism are important, and it is of great importance to examine gender-based prejudices and perceptions in this field. The accounting profession should be considered not only as a technical discipline but also as a gendered professional culture. The theoretical background of the study is based on gender theories and approaches to gender discrimination in the profession. The research includes quantitative analysis through a survey method applied to accounting professionals. The findings show that the perceptions of accounting professionals on gender equality vary and that these perceptions are closely related to equality policies within the profession.
