In this paper, an efficient approach is proposed for the analysis, modeling and simulation of a two-stage switched-capacitor buck-boost converter, one of the new prototypes of DC/DC conversion technology. Switch and diode elements are considered ideal for a better understanding of the proposed method for efficient analysis of the two-stage switched-capacitor buck-boost converter. However, the proposed method is also valid for circuit analysis with non-ideal elements. The method allows performing the analysis on a single equation system despite the changing topologies caused by the switches on states and off states of the switches. In order to obtain system equations, the basis of the analysis, the modified nodal analysis method (MNA) is used, and the switches are included directly in the system equations. The system of equations is solved in a computer environment with the help of numerical methods and the study is supported with simulation.
