VI. INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC AND VOCATIONAL STUDIES CONGRESS – ENGINEERING (BILMES EN 2021), Ankara, Turkey, 23 - 26 December 2021, vol.1, pp.274-282
In today's world, businesses maintain their competitiveness by using
the developing technologies in their production systems, which we can express
under the title of Industry 4.0. The automotive industry is a sector that requires
high technology and is highly competitive. Although meeting the demands for
high speed, efficiency and product quality requires investment costs, companies
that make these investments can find a place for themselves in the global
market. The mounting process of the sensors used in the automotive industry and
checking whether the mounting process complies with the standards are carried
out at 6 different workstations. Manufacturing with different machines causes
more personnel, slower speed and lower efficiency. With the developed PDM246
Thermote Welding Machine, it ensures that the sensors, which are manufactured
in 6 independent areas, are mounted on the machine and the quality control of
the process is carried out in a single workstation. Pre-Assembly, PCB Assembly
to Housing with Thermode Welding, Connector Part Assembly, Soldering, Solder
Control and Marking units constitute the workstation. Each unit in the
workstation can communicate with other units. The PDM246 communicates with
other stations via IoT and its data is stored on the institution's server. The
machine can be accessed and controlled remotely. Image processing systems are
also used in control processes. Speed, efficiency, quality increase, remote
access and controllability, data collection increases the usefulness and
efficiency of the machine.
