Artificial intelligence–assisted scenario development for simulation-based pediatric forensic case training: A qualitative study of paramedic students’ experiences

Özet
Background: This study aimed to explore first-year paramedic students’ perceptions, emotions, and experiences related to scene management in pediatric forensic cases and to examine their experiences following a simulation training module developed with artificial intelligence–assisted scenario development. Methods: This qualitative study was conducted using a phenomenological approach. Data were collected through individual and focus group interviews conducted before and after the simulation training intervention Results: Following the training, students reported perceived improvements in clinical self-confidence, professionalism, awareness of evidence preservation, ethical sensitivity, and adoption of a child-centered approach. Conclusion: Simulation-based pediatric forensic training incorporating AI-assisted scenario development may support students’ professional awareness, forensic reasoning, and decision-making processes.
