Particulary advances in information and communication technologies have eased to commit crimes and a concept called cyber-crimes has arisen. Teacher candidates and so the teachers are among ones to be primarily considered to prevent cyber-crimes and increase awareness on the issue. The purpose of this study to determine knowledge levels of the teacher candidates studying in Kocaeli University about cyber-crimes and associate the results to various variables. The study was conducted with descriptive survey model. The participants of the study consisted of 323 students who studied at Faculty of Education, Kocaeli University during the 2016-2017 academic year. "The attitudes towards information crimes and knowledge levels scale of university students" questionaire developed by Bilek(2012). The data were analyzed using descriptive and predictive statistics. It was understood from the study that teacher candidates' knowledge levels about issues of cyber-crimes are not sufficient. It was observed that there were significant differences on some issues according to gender, average time of daily computer use. It is proposed that teacher candidates should be trained about cyber crimes related issues through a programme with a well determined scope.
