Özet

The abrasive wear is caused by conveyed materials such as coal, granite and hard rock in belt conveyors. It is expected that abrasion resistance of rubber belts is high. Conveyor belts are exposed to different working conditions such as natural weathering, oil, acid, thermal cycling and accelerated ageing during service life. In this study, the abrasive wear behaviors of several rubber conveyor belt materials such as SBR, NBR, EPDM and IIR were investigated in different working conditions. DIN Rubber Abrasion Tester was used to determine wear resistance of rubber in experiments. When the results of this work are interpreted, the conveyor belt materials which are made from IIR can be chosen for different working conditions.
